Bank's 11 Year Anniversary - Need Promotion Idea

Posted by lengel on 125 Points
My bank is celebrating its 11th anniversary this August. Every year during our anniversary month, we provide free ice cream to those who come into our branches. We generally also have some sort of promotion. I need an idea for a promotion. We are heavily involved in our community through sponsorships and volunteering. Would love to tie that in somehow.

Any ideas?

You want to give back to the community? How about you offer 11 full scholarships to a local or state college? It could be based on a student's GPA, and on evidence of income (the income must be within certain limits to qualify for entry). This way, the most talented and most deserving students get a fair shake.

    1.1% loans?
Free savings accounts for 11-year and 111-year olds?

Promote your sponsorships and volunteerism. Pictures, displays, or video loops of events or whatever you've sponsored. Show some of the results of your volunteerism, maybe your people actually in action volunteering. Advertise and promote the good deeds you've done in the community. Most people likely don't know what you've done. Show them how you participate and that you are valuable to the community as a local business.

Eleven is the number of players in a football (soccer) team, or cricket team depending where in the world you are - with the phrase "the first eleven" having a particular sports meaning - would this fit?

What is the goal of this promotion? What does success look like? How will you know if the promotion was successful?

If it's just to show the community how much you love it maybe ice cream is enough.

We've decided on our "promotion". We are going to donate $5 for every 11 non perishable food items brought into our branches. We will then donate the food and money to our local food bank. Thank you everyone for your wonderful ideas!
