I Need Help Promoting My Laundromat

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need help promoting the wash dry fold service end of my new laundromat. The demographics for the area surrounding the business are lower to middle income families but I am looking to attract a more affluent customer base including restaurants or commercial accounts. How can I do this? I need to boost that end of the business immediately. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Carylrich1,

you can use relationships to work at creating host beneficiary relationships.

1.) find other companies whose client and business or service works in tandum with your business.

For instance I saw a grocery story advertise on the plastic cover that goes over shirts. You might challenge those businesses who's services roll into yours to allow you to advertise on something that would naturally link you into their business without selling.

2.) For instance tap into afluent restaurants that would allow you to partner up with them for a trial run. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Caryl, questions like yours make this forum worthwhile! ;]

Most of the suggestions I would make have already been covered by the Experts so far. You're getting great advice!

    A late addition:

One type of customer you might seek are the "party rental" businesses. If you're serious about boosting the commercial end of your business quickly, now's the perfect time of year to get their attention (and their linens). Even if they have their own equipment and staff, you might be able to help them handle the extra workload during the holidays.

I encourage you to use this forum as a sounding board whenever you need to. And since you've only been a MarketingProfs member since November, it wouldn't hurt to look at some of the article archives when you want to learn about a particular marketing area. Good luck!
