Free Advertising

Posted by barry on 125 Points
Hi, im looking to get as much free advertising as possible and have posted my business to all free online directories such as https://yell.com and https://infobest.co.uk. Do you have any other recommendations for getting my business out there for zero costs. I have the time but no revenue because of covid.

Free advertising can work if the people who are most likely to be your prospects use these services to find you. However, most people start their searches using a major search engine and the free sites generally don't help you get found. So, instead of focusing on volume of free sites, I'd suggest focusing on your target market. Where are they? What are they looking for? If you provide an add-on service/product, can you co-market with someone who's already providing the basic service/product for the add-on? Can you influence people who write reviews? Can you reward people who love what you're selling to share their fanaticism with others? Focus on quality of referral, not volume. Once you start figuring out how to attract a few people, you'll know where it makes sense to invest in your advertising.
