Question

Topic: Website Critique

Invited Critics

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points

Hello everyone,
I was able to design a website www.thebigpromise.com and I had invited a few people to comment on communication.
Later I found this table which allows me to invite critics for my website. Every single comment will only help me improve on my website before the formal launch of it.
3 categories of views are invited-

1) Designing and text
2) Clarity of message ( I will be obliged to find text improvement/ rehrased suggestions )
3) The effectiveness of the site to tempt the buyer,

Don't forget, every single comment will only aid me to my mission.

with thanks
Prashant

uhmm it doesn't work with firefox, i went to the site and clicked around, i didn't relise that the textin the right hand corner was a link until i click on it.

The text is spilling over each other and off the page.

I like the concept very much. It's wholly appropriate for what you're selling.

I really don't like the background; it just doesn't work well with the text. On the subject of text, you really should never use yellow, but even more so when it's on a blueish background.

I agree that the copy should hop around a little. It's okay that it's not "normal" or overly linear. However, I think it jumps around too much. It's just a lot of bouncing around back and forth. Too many different colors and fonts, too...

I think you need to make it more plain that what you're selling is the diary--a book. I had to cycle through this a couple of times before I understood what was being sold.

I give you an A+ on concept, but a C- on execution. You're very close, though.

Looking forward to seeing the next iteration.
