We just opened a new gym with a new concept in the fitness industry. We blend visual technology with personal instruction. We are looking for an innovative way to get people in our doors.

On another note, we are taking this concept and scalinging down to sell via infomercials for home and office use. We need to sturcture this brand well and have great consumer education...any recomendations?

Would love to answer, but can you give a bit more information on your product: how do you blend visual technology with personal instruction?

Perhaps you should consider defining your goals and hiring a marketing expert to help you achieve them.

There's a new spot on this forum called "Hire an Expert." Look on the right side of this page for the Post a Project link.

The project board is like having your own on-call marketing team united behind one goal - to drive your success. Of 4,300 active forum members, only 42 have met the "approved consultant" criteria to view your RFP online. It's a fast, free way to get serious project help from professional marketers who have already offered forum participants an incredibly broad range of experience, expertise, and creativity.

It's worth a shot if you've got a real business to grow! ;]

Without more information, it's impossible to help you. We need to understand who your target audience is, what benefits they will get if they use your gym, how you're different from competition ... in short, what your positioning is.

Once we have that, along with the other elements of your SWOT analysis (e.g., What are the weaknesses?), I suspect you'll get lots of excellent, on-strategy ideas from this group.

SRyan's suggestion that you consider "Hire an Expert" is exactly right. This is a situation where you're probably going to be well served to have professional marketing strategy assistance, so you don't inadvertently undermine your own efforts to make this a success.
