How To Manage My Timetable For The Project?

hello, frineds, i have on project to develop advertising campaign, and i plan my timetable as following, are there any one can tell me which part i miss? do i need to add more comments here?


Title: cosmetic advertising campaign

Long title: promotion campaign and information material for the famous cosmetic brand.

Aims: produce series of theme advertisement for a line of fragrance, skincare and make up products for a cosmetic company to build and increase awareness of the brand.

Objective: production of original and finished distinctive images showing designs and ideas to add new inspiration to the brand product for the famous cosmetic company, printed materials include magazines, brochures, posters, product packaging, labels catalogs, leaflets and other promotional material and a variety of media (electronic, print, outdoor or TV) will be used to create designs that meet clients’ commercial needs.


Week schedule:

Week one: according to the module introduction, then define my design area sector.

Week two: write a brief and plan a weekly schedule for a major project of my choice.

Week three: spend times to search information about how does the advertising company find the clients and offer the service and How does the company develop the advertising campaign.

Week four and week five: collect advertisement from the website, magazine and books, study the subject and analyze the advertisements in print and on television, look at the content of the ads, and analysis why some advertising work and why others doesn’t work.

Week six and week seven: send the email to the cosmetic company to carry the message about the product and understand what they want to express though advertising and define one of them as my project object, and I will do the advertising campaign to promote its product sales.

Week eight: collect all of its advertisements and find out it difference and turn it into advantages, and analysis its target consumer and market competition, and define advertising campaign.

Week nine: combining creative skills such as photography, painting and drawing to develop original concept with budgeted resources.

Week ten: using computer software, develop the overall layout and design of print ads for magazines and other publications. I also may promotional displays and marketing brochures for products. Then send email to the cosmetic company again, show my artworks and ask them whether the artwork meets the needs.

Week eleven:
According to the letter that the marketing department writes back to me, then revise the artworks according to their satisfaction.

Week twelve:
Choose the media that will be used to present advertisements (electronic, print, outdoor or TV), define the timetable of the advertisement appear in different media, and account budget and project manage time.

    Hi echo 403,

    You are missing the very important project phase task of "Close"

    This is where you review "Lessons Learned" and in general review and evaluate the project for inprovement with future projects and identify any areas in this project that you need to revisit.

    Every project should include a "Close" task.

    Week three to five activitities could be done simultenously if you are not limited with resources. This could save you upto a week. This could be said of all the activities that are not a pre-requisite or consequence of other activities. This may high optimize the use of resources.

    Have you provided time for the testing of the ad before it goes live ? This maybe with a small group so as to see whether you are achieving the intended objectives.
