    Here are a few ideas...

Tuna BLT with avocado on a whole wheat bun.

Turkey burger with mushrooms and avocado on a whole wheat bun.

Spiced hummus, lettuce, pickles, tomato, with a little bit of dressing on a whole wheat bun.

Sides could include a salad, minestrone soup, or baked slices of sweet potatoes.

You need something really new and edgy, I feel.

Forget the bun completely for a whole new twist on a burger.

Turkey burger sounds great ( and will smell a whole lot better than tuna) and the vegie burger is also a sound option.

Sure, mushrooms, carnberries, avocado (careful of the fat content - low dose of avocado)

Then wrap it in moistened rice paper. Looks great, tastes - well - taste the filling - and it's missing all those carbs that come with the bun!

Lunch place in Melbourne (AU) called Wrapps! does sushi and chicken wrapped in rice paper. It's delicious! and not overly filling. Plus, those commercial buns are very high in sugar and processed flour. Rice paper = low carb and very low GI.

    Bon Appetit!
