How Can I Find Out Which Websites Are The Best?

Dear everybody,

For my graduationproject I am trying to find out which websites are the best, worldwide. Are there any rankings known about that? Are there any awards given to the best websites? How do I find out which websites are the best? I hope somebody can help me with this, while this answer would mean a great deal for the rest of my research....
