Here are some great articles to go through:

Humor is a great way to make a lasting impression. Look at citiBank...their commercials are a riot! You know, the one with the lady posting a reward for a missing Hamster...and a guy walks up to find the hamster on her back. Well it crwals don her shirt and he strats trying to stick his arm up her shirt to get the hamster before she notices so he can get the reward. Well she sees him and strated pounding him with trshcans etc. They end with: 'There are easier ways to get rewards".

I think it's great. My favorite so far is the two seniors tripping each other with their canes as they race to a bag of Doritos (or is it a Mountain Dew).....?? Therein lies the downside. we rember the commercials, but sometimes...the products get mixed up!

    Good Luck!

Its worth remembering that humour in advertising implies either directly or indirectly (by being subtle) that a particular product or service is more fun or exciting that a competitors offering.
Its obviously a widespread tactical tool across different sector and productt ranges.

One word of warning is that humour can wear out quickly, so you need to avoid doing the same joke/gag/technique over and over again ... it gets boring.

    Good Luck
