How Do I Announce A Higher Price

our customer has a contract the price per pound is wrong and should me much higher, i have to annouce the new price in a way he can not refuse.

    Don't use a template. Call the customer and explain the situation. He's a business man. You may have to stand behind it for a short period of time but get a verbal commitment from him for future shipments.

    If you aren't making money at this price TELL HIM! Business people expect their suppliers to make a profit so they can be there to support them.

    You say a contract lists the price incorrectly. If the contract is signed by both sides, and you are working in a country where contracts are fixed (many western countries believe this, where eastern countries allow for more flexibility), then you may be bound by the contract.

    I agree with the comments above - I would definitely start any conversation with a phone call, not a letter.
