How To Get Media To Attend Launch Event

I need some help putting together an invitation that will go out to local media - we are launching a website for women.

    Hi Deborah,

    Follow up calls are pretty normal to the media. Though you've established relationships with these media, it may help to remember that they get 1001 calls from people inviting them to cover their events AND giving them freebies.

    NEWS VALUE is key. Make sure it is in your media invite though don't make it too lengthy. They dont have time to read. Handphone numbers also help them respond to you better as journalists work at odd hours.

    Celebrities are newsworthy. Do you or your business owner have access to any semi-famous people who are willing and able to be there?

    If Julia Roberts is too busy to be there, maybe you can invite the mayor. ;]
