Refer A Friend Wording For Promo Product Company

Posted by promo on 125 Points
We're planning to run a refer a friend campaign but want something catchy that stands out from every other one out there.

We're a promotional products and corporate apparel distributor and we'd like to offer a bottle of NZ wine to our client and another bottle to their friend. The wine will be awarded to both parties if the referral turns into a client for us.

Can anyone help with some ideas for wording please?

Forget "catchy". No one buys catchy. And handing out bottles of wine might not be the best way to go either: local laws on alcohol distribution and all that. Check with your local authority before you get too deeply into this.

Why not simply go with something along the lines of:

"Refer a friend and we'll give you X percent off your next order."

    OR

Offer to add names to a major prize draw, in which the top prize is a big, must have, highly aspirational prize (such as a luxury cruise or a large flat screen TV), with runner up prizes.
Stipulate that the more people an individual refers, the more chances they have of winning, then over deliver on your promise. No one else in your niche will do this because they'll see it as costing too much up front. But you know that the true value is in the long term relationships and the sales over time.
