New Business Marketing Collateral

I am faced with the challenge of creating introductory sales collateral for a brand new service division under the direction of the CEO. I am have been asked to write messaging that talks about our vision, people and processes rather than how our services can benefit the end user. 1) How should collateral material be created for introducing new services/products? 2) How do I produce a product that will be effective, while at the same time satisfying the needs of the CEO?

    I've seen one company effectively talk about itself (vision, people, processes) in a meaningful way in web and collateral material: Drillinginfo.com. Their message -- and product -- communicates clearly that they ARE drilling guys who built a service FOR drilling guys.

    Unless the CEO has anything to say that differentiates the company, you may as well be writing for www.huhcorp.com !!
