It is quite obvious that most search engines will never disclose the algorithims they use in their search howeve take note of the following
1. Write good content fo your customers. Google seeks to offer the most relevant content to the searchers.
2. Use words in your title and body that people are likely to use to search the information or products you are selling. There are online tools for this like word tracks.com
3.Have other your site linked to other quality sites. They vote for your site. The higher they are ranked by google,the weightier the vote.
4.Avoid breaking googles rules fo your sites ranking. You may never be seen again on google. Visit www.google.com for the rules.
