Request Recommendations For Registration Services

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am looking for recommendations for an inexpensive, user-friendly, online registration service to use for events for a small chiropractic office in Ohio.

Should include options for online payment processing for events with fees, though most of our events are free. I would like to include a link/registration form in our e-newsletter, as well as on our website.

Setting up the registration form in the newsletter, gathering the registration list, etc., should be simple, as my boss, the chiropractor sometimes gets it in his head to do things himself.... (sigh).

Our clientele ranges from computer gurus to non computer users, so the sign up form should be easy and non threatening to the highly suspicious in our audience.

Would also like some savvy questions to ask the sales reps of these services as I evaluate them. What do you wish you had known enough to ask?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Wouldn't something like evite or cvent work for you?

In my opinion, the most simple way to do this would be to create a form and just host it on your site. You don't have to actually process the cards online, you can just get the data securely and then process it offline, if the numbers are small.

When you host the form yourself, it becomes much easier to make changes as new events come online, and you can always the same link...www.yourdomain.com/events.

You might spend a little more doing the form yourself on the front end for whatever programming you need (PHP/MySQL?), but you won't pay any monthly fees thereafter...and it will tie in to your site directly.

Thanks all. These look like good solutions that I will investigate.
