Is it more hits you want or more conversions? Most people want more conversions and fewer hits that don't convert. And the indicated actions could be very different, depending on what you really want.

Also the website itself is not the biggest factor in determining the hits you get. It's your marketing plan for getting people to visit the site.

First, add web analytics (such as Google Analytics). You currently don't know how much traffic you get, from where, or what pages of your website they are looking at.

Next, see what keywords people are searching for in your business, and ensure you've got these sprinkled throughout (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal).

Ensure your website is ranked well by working to get great backlinks.

    Finally, Website Grader gives your site a 57 / 100 (https://website.grader.com/wsgid/2775742/default.aspx)

Some good advice already. It is not hits that are important. You could use only one hit if they would like to buy a million shirts.

The key is to optimize the site to get people to order. you want to make sure that the people looking for a particular product you sell are finding you.

Do you have a site map? Have you notified Google about it. This will help all your pages get indexed.

Many of your pages say they under construction. You need to get these finished or not hav them in the menu. There is nothing more frustrating than visiting a site that does not work.

Many of your pages do not have titles that make sense. Titling each page individually and using meta descriptions will really help you with Google.

    I hope this helps.

You need something controversial on this site to bring in traffic. This site is boring and if this was American Idle it would be eliminated by the judges. Fire your designer and get someone that knows how to build interactivity.

I think your first step, like Jay said, is to get a good analytics program for your site (using Google Analytics is a wise, wise decision and it is totally free and very comprehensive), so you can see how much traffic you are getting, where the traffic is coming from, what people are clicking on, how long they are staying in your site and how many of those visitors turn into conversions (meaning someone took action). This way you can also use this data to see what happens when you go to step 2.

I think your Step 2 should involve a site overhaul (redesign), because although it's obvious that you take a lot of care in keeping your site updated (kudos for that!!) with a lot of information, it does not lend itself to the greatest level of credibility, and it doesn't give your announcements the proper exposure you probably need them to have. Even if you get "hits" -- where you do want people to click? What do you want them to do once they are on your site? Who is your target audience? These are the kinds of questions you need to answer during your web development process so you can use them to build your site in a way to encourage your site visitors to take action.

Right now, your site is kind of a mish mash of information that doesn't really seem to have a directed purpose .... Even things like "Browse our catalog" that is not a link - or "click here" affects your SEO efforts and a good web developer will know how to circumvent these kinds of things to help you build your site in such a way that will maximize the opportunity for the search engines to find your site (and like it!! :D), which will bring in more hits and eventually more conversions.

Be sure to keep in mind that it's not a simple process to build traffic, but it is an extended "dotting your i's" and "crossing your t's" kind of thing, which it does not appear is happening with your site right now.

Hope this helps, best of luck to you!
