    Three things to consider:

    1. Offer practical demonstrations showing the product solving real world problems in real time.

    2. Seek out and get sign offs on use of product testimonials from recent users and buyers.

    3. Create a series of compelling video shorts that show the product in action across a range of applications.

Connect these demonstrations to ads, to social media, and to content and encourage sharing.

    Forget about outright selling.

    Lead with three things:

    1. solid, life-changing value.

    2. practical benefits to end users.

    3. an attitude of solving problems.

I agree with Gary's strategic approach. Provide helpful information that will generate further interest (and inquiry). Deliver your message in a way that will demonstrate that you've put yourself in the shoes of your target audience.

Solve problems, build credibility and demonstrate that you are listening. Don't try to close the sale immediately or push what you have regardless of the situation or need. That would just raise defenses and spark skepticism.

Definitely network with R&D people to spread the information about the existence of your e-market. Once you get the word out and your products are good, mouth-to-mouth referrals can really be a jackpot!
