Carol works with individuals, firms and practice groups to help them learn to develop business as expeditiously as possible. She works in three main areas:
„X Strategy: use research, targeting and planning to reach identified market segments in the best possible way
„X Marketing research: create and implement client interviews and focus groups with clients or prospects to learn what clients and/or the marketplace say about you, your firm and your services
„X Coaching and training: work with attorneys to maximize their client relationships, cross-selling and referral opportunities, and develop personal marketing and sales skills that work for them
Carol has directed marketing, marketing research and marketing communications programs for a variety of well-known professional services firms including Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan LLP [now Winston & Strawn], Haight, Gardner, Poor & Havens [now Holland & Knight], Richard A. Eisner & Company, LLP [now Eisner], KPMG Peat Marwick, BDO Seidman, and Grant Thornton. She was also a consultant with the MarketForce division of Hildebrandt International.
Carol lectures frequently on marketing topics for professional firms and associations. She is Past-President of the Legal Marketing Association, Metropolitan New York Chapter, and on the faculty of the New York University Marketing and Management Institute. She was also co-chairperson of the Marketing Directorsˇ¦ Institute, an annual ˇ§learning by doingˇ¨ conference. Carol is currently an editor of Strategies, the Legal Marketing Associationˇ¦s national publication.
